I died.

Last night I had a dream where I died in a violent and graphic way.

I was running. I don't know where I was or where I was going. I was just running for my life. The woods seemed alive around me, twisting and turning and I had was certain that I was running in circles although my feet were pointed straight. The crunches and snaps of dry twigs and leaves underneath my feet echoed in my ears and my mind screamed at me to Runrunrunrun!

It was dark. Very little light pierced the trees and I had no idea whether it was daytime or nighttime. The scent of nature was strong but there was the cloying scent of blood over that and the taste of it in my mouth. My ribs burned, especially on the left side where I had broken them before and I was certain that they were broken again but I could not rest and I could not stop. Runrunrunrunrunrun!

The woods seemed to close in around me, making it harder to run. I slammed my shoulder against trees but I could not let it slow me down. I lost my shoes at some point, getting them stuck in some mud and having no time to free them. I pulled my feet free and continued on without them although the twigs and rocks hidden in the dark ground cut into the soles of my feet.
I reached a clearing suddenly, bursting out from the trees and tripping over a log. It was not a very large clearing, round, and there was nothing within it. The trees had grown overhead, blocking out all but a few rays of light. As I forced my abused body back to my feet, I heard laughter that chilled me to the bones, echoing through the trees. I had no idea where it was coming from, which way to go, and felt helpless. I was just about to start running blindly again when a piercing pain slashed across my leg and I went down on one leg. Frightened I tried to stand again but the laughter grew in volume and my other leg was slashed. I screamed but knew that no one could hear me but the creature chasing me.

I saw it then. It laughed at me, slowly circling me in its animalistic way. I grabbed a broken branch nearby, desperately trying to get it to back off. I managed to nail it in the temple and took the opportunity to force myself back up and run again, except my legs hurt so much that I could not build up speed. I hobbled through the forest, tripping and clumsy in my pain. I was panting and whimpering, unable to keep the yelps from escaping. It was no longer laughing as it followed me. It was snarling, growling, and promising to make my death slow.

I felt a sharp pain as it struck be from behind with the same branch I had used against it and I went down as my vision spotted with splotches of light and blackness. It grabbed me by the hair and yanked me over to face it. Then it began to slash my face, my arms when I tried to defend myself. It took it's time and the blackness was beginning to overtake my vision as it sliced into my chest in stomach.

I died in horrific pain and woke up, gasping and unable to make a sound.

Slenderman was at the foot of my bed, staring down at me. He felt angry, so angry and I wanted to scream, fearing him in the after throws of my dream. He reached for me and I had flinched but he touched me anyways. His tentacle, or whatever you want to call it, touched me in the temple. The world turned and I was out. I didn't dream, didn't think. There was nothing but black until I woke up again with sunlight lightening up my room and he was nowhere to be seen.

Any thoughts?

  1. First off, it's a relief to see you. I thought we'd lost you. It's been hard the last several months... but seeing you here gives me a ray of hope.

As for the dream, He speaks to us in mysterious ways. Maybe he's showing you what he would do if you do not comply with his wishes. Do you remember anything from when you blacked out? Could you have lost time? Do you know if you did? I wish I could be of more help, I haven't been in the best of places lately. Thank you though. With luck I'll be able to pull out of this rut. Thanks for giving me some hope.

  2. It's a relief to see you too, sweetheart. I've been worried about you. I'm sorry to hear that it's been hard.

I don't know if that was what he was doing or what the dream meant. It wasn't Slendy that attacked me, after all but it isn't impossible. If he's warning me about what would happen if I don't comply with his wishes, then I'm likely to die since I have no fucking clue what he wants me to do.

I remember, as I blacked out, him just watching me. He was still angry but it didn't hurt when he knocked me out, so to speak. I did lose time but woke up at a time that's fairly typical. I lost a handful of hours during the blackout.

Sweetheart, you'll be able to pull out. Don't lose hope. *hugs* You've always got me in your corner, as your ally.
